Ladies listen up!

Dear ladies,

I believe that God being the 'King of Kings', automatically identifies us as 'Princesses.' Therefore as daughters of the King we are called to wear our crowns with confidence.

In the world there are a lot of women living under abuse, working hard for what they earn, yet being mistreated! Then in other parts of the world, there are so many girls filled with doubt, anxiety and lack of confidence, which is not how God wants us to live.

An elegant Queen called Esther in the Bible became the first from her country to enter the royal family. In one day God transformed Esther from a young girl born into slavery to the most recognised woman in society. She could have conveniently enjoyed her new status lavishly and selfishly but instead Queen Esther saw this as an opportunity to rescue her people, in a time where women were made silent and subdued to men. Queen Esther defended her country, pleaded with the King and prayed to God. She showed bravery, courage and strength. And who was she? A woman.

If that is not enough, take a look at some of the most influential women in the world today like Michelle Obama, Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey and many more, there is one common factor that they possess - hard work. As Malala Yousafzai said, "There are two powers in the world; one is the sword and the other is the pen. There is a third power stronger than both, that of women."

As one of three female children in my family, I strongly believe that God is calling us ladies to be more and to do more. When God created man, He knew that man could not live in the world alone so He made us. We are needed and valued by God in this world, regardless of our age, race or status. Just like God used Esther, God can also use us to do so much for ourselves and most importantly - for others.

So to my fierce female readers, "Do not let anyone belittle, patronise or insult you because of your gender because the truth is that the only ONE who can judge you is the ONE who made you."

Yours Sincerely,

Damilola.
